Welcome to the Porto Tango Summit
From February 13th to 17th, Porto celebrates tango in all its intensity.
Coinciding with Valentine's Day and Carnival, the Porto Tango Summit features:
8 milongas - 4 nighttime and 4 daytime - and a DJ course with over 10 hours of training, dedicated to those who want to immerse themselves in the art of musicalization and understand the sound that moves the dance floor.
TDJs
VIVI LA FALCE
TDJ and INSTRUCTOR
Vivi La Falce has been a professional DJ in Buenos Aires since 2001. She has worked as a resident DJ at renowned Buenos Aires milongas such as Lo de Celia, Salón Canning, El Arranque, Lujos, Obelisco Tango, Abasto Hotel, and others. She was the Official DJ of the TangoBA Championship and Festival for six years.
Since 2009, she has traveled the world as a DJ at milongas, gatherings, marathons, and festivals.
JOSÉ GUILHERME
TDJ
His musical tastes range from the "Old Guard" to contemporary orchestras. However, he believes that contemporary tango orchestras play a vital role, injecting contemporary and innovative energy into the tradition.
Careful time management and constant reading of the dance floor are crucial elements of his approach. He creatively seeks to create a pleasant atmosphere, paying special attention to details such as tandas, curtains, silences, and sound quality.
CELSO CLARO
HARDWARE CONSULTANT
With solid practical experience in exploring sound in a performance context, he has collaborated in several tango events and festivals..
She has a deep understanding of the specific sound needs of a milonga: from system setup to creating the ideal acoustic environment.
At the Porto Tango Summit, she will share her experience in sound system setup and use, offering attendees a practical and accessible insight into the technical side of things that bring the dance floor to life.
IGNACIO CAVALIERI
TDJ and TRAINER
Ignacio Cavalieri was born in Chivilcoy, about 160 km from Buenos Aires. In the 2000s, he moved to Ibiza (Spain), where he has lived for over 25 years.
Passionate about old-school music (vinyl), he organizes and hosts milongas, including "vinilo" events in Ibiza and throughout Europe.
Ignacio Cavalieri is a very active DJ on the international tango scene. He has been invited to many different worldwide Tango events, with both digital and vinyl tango.
PUNTO y BRANCA
TDJ and INSTRUCTOR
Tango-DJ “Punto y Branca” (Jorge Vacca) is one of the most popular and beloved tango DJs in the world. He started his career at the best milongas in Buenos Aires and have been musicalizing tango music for many years. Now he lives in Milan and DJs on regular milongas round whole Italy, as well as festivals and marathons all over the world.

The excellent location for all Porto Tango Summit activities will be the "A Beneficência Familiar" facilities. Room with wooden floor and an excellent location, right in the city center, next to the famous "Mercado do Bolhão" allowing you to visit the city's beautiful streets and shops.
